Information about Tahmid-shakeel

I see myself to be an outgoing and a hardworking person who always wants the best for others as well as myself. I am a quick learner and I have the desire to further my knowledge as knowledge is an aspect which is never limited. I enjoy helping people and also working with people regardless of their age groups. I am a very calm and patient person who knows that different individuals require different ways of teaching and can adjust to the way a student works.

Availability: I am available on weekends and evenings mainly every day. Preferably, times after 5 pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: From my previous experience of working as a Maths and English tutor at a tuition centre, working with primary and GCSE pupils. This was a very rewarding responsibility, based on building positive relationships with students, parents and the wider community. I take pride in being a role model to the students, and ensure I set a good example. Before lessons, I complete thorough planning to ensure that the sessions are tailored to the needs of each individual, so that each student benefits from the intervention. Spotting potential in the children and watching them excel as they learn more about the subject as well as themselves, is a highlight of the role for me. I like to make a clear, tangible difference in the lives of others and give back to the community.

During my GCSEs, I was asked by my own fellow tutor to teach maths during lessons to my class. This allowed me to gain the necessary skills needed to teach a full class and have the confidence in doing so. I also have the ability to teach all age groups as I have the experience with primary school children due to my sixth forms enrichment project, in which I had to help and support primary school children.
