I have always loved and excelled in Maths, achieving a First Class Degree in the subject, which equipped me with the in-depth knowledge that’s important for tutoring at any level. I am eager to help people of all ages and abilities, but specialise in GCSE and A level, including Further Maths - Pure, Mechanics, Statistics and Decision/Discrete.

A big part of tutoring is recognising that everyone’s different. I talk to each student or their parent about what they want to get out of tutoring, and their individual learning style, in order to create a tailored strategy to most effectively help them reach their goal.

Usually, lessons will follow a similar pattern to those in school - I explain a concept, go through a couple of examples, then the student tries it for themselves - but with the crucial benefit of being able to go at a pace that suits the individual, as well as picking up on and tackling any confusion or misconceptions.

My friendly, relaxed attitude, combined with my drive and passion, fosters a great working environment, inspiring and motivating students to do their best.

Experience: I have excellent experience, both in school and as a tutor, supporting students as they work through these courses. I am DBS-certified, and have passed the QTS literacy & numeracy tests.

I have worked in a few different Kumon Centres, tutoring children in Maths and English, and more recently in three Secondary Schools, where I helped with Maths, Science and French. I worked mainly in the Maths Department assisting with all year groups, but mostly GCSE and AS/A level students. I have strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum, how it is taught, and those areas which prove to be most challenging.

I also have great experience as a tutor, increasing students’ confidence in maths and helping them to achieve, and even excel, their target grades.
