I am an Outstanding (OFSTED rated) professional, well experienced and full-time teacher and leader of education that is open to providing home tutoring.
I have an excellent track record, with proven successful results in the recent years. I currently hold English at degree level, am a fully qualified teacher (PGCE holder) and I also am a holder of a high classification of MA Education. I have also been fully CRB/DBS checked.
I look to provide a personalised approach to learning, using proven strategies to improve pupils` English Language and Literature skills and ensure success at both Key Stage 3 and GCSE level. I am also available to tutor Key Stage 2/Primary English and tuition for 11+/entrance exams. I am also currently teaching, and therefore well aware of any current requirements/ changes in the educational sector that could be of benefit to my pupils.
Availability: Weekday evenings, in the Standish/Coppull/Chorley/Horwich/Adlington/Blackrod area

Experience: 18 years of teaching Key Stages 3-5 at all levels
Previous years teaching of Key Stage 2.

My son has achieved excellent results in key stage 3 English thanks to studying with Chris. I`m thrilled with the progress he has made as within 4 months he has jumped from a 4C grade to a 6C grade in his English SATs.

Puts pupil at ease . Understands quickly what the needs of the pupil are and implements a teaching style that accommodates their needs . Provides lots of useful reference material and helpful tips/ bullet points as to what to include in the pupils work and what the examiners would look for.Gives praise and encouragement where appropriate and support in areas of weakness.
