Information about Wahida
A continual thirst for knowledge and understanding of the world of science led me to complete an undergraduate honours degree in Genetics and Microbiology. As an educator, I strive to engage, challenge and inspire growth in all students. It is my fundamental belief that every student is capable of tasting the passion I feel for learning by becoming actively involved in the exploration of learning through research and practice. As a teacher, I engage my students in the study of learning by crafting stories that draw them deep into the learning experience. Once students are hooked they find themselves seeking anecdotes for the concepts and problems they are faced with. I believe it is my duty as an educator to share these tales with my students so that they are socially, morally and spiritually inclined towards learning with the hope of academic fulfilment.
In 2010, I was awarded a PGCE with distinction and outstanding teacher status. Since this date I have successfully completed my NQT induction and have an 8 year track record of teaching outstanding lessons. My role as Head of Science over the last 5 years has given me invaluable experience of middle leadership, raising attainment, developing schemes of work, leading on assessments, providing tool-kit training sessions, improving teaching and learning and much more. I have excellent track record of GCSE exam results not only for the classes that I teach but also for my Science Faculty. In 2017 100% of students achieved A*-C in GCSE biology (P8, +0.6), chemistry (P8, +0.16) and Physics (P8, +0.90). Additional Science achieved 100% pass rate with 80% A*-C grades.
As Head of Science, I ensure that every student is able to access the science curriculum by ensuring that SOWs are engaging, interesting, and challenging. I have access to update online resources and practice exam papers for all examination boards. I am fully aware of the new 1-9 GCSE Science curriculum and the changes that have been introduced of not including controlled assessments. I will be able to fully prepare students for exams when dealing with the theoretical content as well as the scientific experimentation which account for 15% of the total marks now available in the new GCSE. Furthermore I am also an examiner for AQA GCSE Science which has given me valuable insight into examination requirements.

Wahida is an excellent teacher. She has taught my daughter (grammar school student) near her Year10 science exams for two months and with her help she managed to get Grade 9 in her sciences.
Wahida really helped her out with some of the topics she was struggling at school so she covered quite lot of past papers with her to give her lots of confidence and worked on tricks and techniques on how to score marks in the exams.

Wahida is teaching my daughter GCSE combined science. Over the past few weeks we noticed huge improvement in understanding, retention and recall of information as assessed by previous exam papers. I would highly recommend this excellent tutor for GCSE and A level science.

I think teachers like Wahida are rare. Shes teaches with such passion and enthusiasm. Wahida tutored my son only for a couple of weeks but I genuinely believe her input will make a difference to his final grade (GCSEs). In fact he hated Biology & Chemistry until she came along. With her teaching he was finally able to `click` and link various topics together. She`s extremely knowledgeable, very well organised, patient and overall an absolutely brilliant teacher! In a relatively short period of time she covers so much in detail and also recapping and testing with exam questions. She`s worth every penny and I would definitely welcome her back if my son chooses to study A-Level Biology.
