Information about Maya
I am currently in the final year of my Chemistry degree and have been tutoring students for just over five years, I also teach 11+ entrance exams to students.
Every student is different and because of this, my teaching style is catered to each pupil I have. Some students benefit more from animation designs, especially when teaching the sciences at all levels. Others may benefit more from adapting the lessons to real life, eg. Relating something which may sound hard and complicated, such as 3-Dimensional Pythagoras theorem, to measuring a makeup box/football field.
Nonetheless, I believe there`s a customary method for each student and I guarantee to go to great lengths for each student`s customary teaching experience. Most importantly of all I make sure that students have fun in the lessons and I employ a calm, safe environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions on the topics to further stimulate their learning.
This leads me to explain each customary teaching package, students tend to come under two main stages.
Some students come in their final year or even months before their exams. With the limited amount of time that these students have, its mandatory that their focus inside and outside of my lessons is intense, allowing them to achieve their desired grades.
Other students come years before their exams, whether that be 3 years before of in year seven, sometimes even in primary schools, this extra time allows me to cover all the topics and ensure the students are taught from the very basics of the subject, up to A/A* knowledge, along with making sure they understand exam questions.
As long as the student and I, along with the parents have an open line of communication, anything can be achieved. I provide the students with all the lesson content at the end of the lesson for their revision and their homework/extra tasks.
