Bitten is an excellent tutor who helps you feel at ease. She structures sessions to meet your learning objectives, providing encouragement, practical feedback and support. Bitten`s explanations of Danish grammar and vocabulary are easy to understand and supported by examples of their use. Bitten also provides comprehensive, easy to understand materials to help with the learning and reinforcement of key points. I couldn`t have found a better tutor and thoroughly enjoy our sessions. I have no hesitation recommending Bitten.

Bitten provides a relaxed and enjoyable environment for learning Danish. She is a very encouraging and incredibly patient teacher especially given we are learning slowly whilst coping with a hectic period of life. She is also very adaptable to individual circumstances so will modify for your pace and level. We always look forward to our weekly sessions with Bitten!

I`ve been taking Danish lessons with Bitten since September and they`ve been very enjoyable. As well as 5 stars I`d give Bitten 3Ps for pleasant, patient and pragmatic!! She`s clearly very good at what she does because I recently passed an exam with the Danish Embassy! I`m looking forward to continuing lessons with Bitten in January and beyond and would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to learn Danish.

I came across Bitten when I was desperately looking for some urgent help with my Danish....speaking, reading and writing. I have some (very little) very rusty and untrained, undisciplined, Danish and I had 5 days to get myself to a proficient place so I could speak and communicate with people at the Danish Embassy in a civilized and confident manner! Firstly Bitten responded to my enquiry extremely quickly (within a couple of hours) which was exactly what I needed. I explained where I was at and what I needed... she got the measure of things immediately. We were able to arrange some sessions every day up until I had the meeting. She gave me slightly shorter lessons than she would normally do with view to changing to a format which is more usual to her workings once we had got past our immediate goal. Bitten is very flexible and open to requirements. Bitten understood what I needed and the best way to achieve it and she explained how we would work accordingly. She is very positive and energizing and managed to help me not feel like I was in a crazy situation! Bitten guided me through our lessons and helped me get prepared for every eventuality. We practiced speech; pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and writing. Bitten made the lessons fun and progressive and knew exactly how to help me develop what I needed in such a short space of time. The progression I made in a few days was extraordinary, I honestly did not imagine for a second that I would come that far. It was wonderful for me to have achieved so much. Consequently the meeting at the embassy was a success. Bitten obviously has extensive experience with all age groups and abilities. She also is used to teaching for different requirements. With me, there had to be some flexibility as I needed to get to a certain point very quickly but as my lessons continue I know she will now be able to help me achieve a more `perfected` place with my danish language knowledge and skills.

Bitten is an amazing teaching who was very patient with me during my time learning Danish. She is always on hand to help and provides fantastic learning material to make in-between session learning much easier. Pronunciation is something I really struggled with but she was able to focus her attention on helping me speak proper Danish.

Bitten is the perfect teacher for any beginner wanting to learn Danish in London. She is very thorough on the nuances of Danish pronunciation and is both very patient and support. Her recordings of new phrases is also very helpful. Can’t recommend enough for anyone beginning to learn Danish.

Bitten is an amazing tutor! I had no clue where to start with learning Danish but Bitten has been ever so patient and very thorough with my work.
I was a challenge as I`ll be leaving to live there in a few weeks but she`s managed to help me get through the basics quickly and I`m starting to string sentences together already!

Bitten is brilliant!

I started taking lessons from her last month, to prepare for a move to Denmark later this year — and it`s been an incredibly helpful experience so far.

She`s friendly, experienced, and takes what she does seriously: She even has a whole methodology & course plan that she`s developed over the years.

At every lesson, she`ll have a new package of exercises ready to take home; Along with audio recordings to listen to between lessons.

Genuinely, she`s just an all around great teacher — I would wholly recommend her to anyone who`s looking to invest the time into learning Danish.

Bitten has been very patient, insightful, helpful, and accommodating in the last month and a half since I started having lessons with her. She has amassed a huge wealth of exercises and references ranging from beginner level to advanced, and my Danish has improved significantly.

Bitten is a very welcoming and friendly person and a good teacher. She uses a book she has put together herself as a tool which works well as it is well structured and of course a perfect match for how she likes to organise her lessons. We would certainly recommend her.

Bitten is an experienced and great tutor. She took the whole first session to get to know each other and focused on the pronunciation of basic vowels, which was a little puzzling at the beginning. Yet from the second session, it was very clear to me that her guidance was working really well for me to dive into Danish language, and I understood why she wanted the fist lesson in that way. She keeps the lessons very comfortable and amusingly challenging - I enjoy each time of our sessions. Tak!

My girlfriend and I have been having Danish lessons with Bitten for a couple of months now and have been very impressed by her. She has great subject knowledge and has developed brilliant material which helped our learning. Bitten is also punctual and most importantly was able to cope with two students at the same time despite us having different levels of Danish.
We are taking a short break from learning Danish but when we get back to it we will definitely be using Bitten again. Cannot recommend her enough.

I used Bitten Hesse to learn Danish from January 2015 until October 2015 having 2 x 2 hour lessons per week. Bitten`s direction to tutoring was very refreshing as her approach was not just based on absorbing as many new words as possible but she created a learning pattern built upon pronunciation, reading and grammar from the start which in hindsight has allowed me to have an incredibly strong and confident beginning to learning and understanding the language to a fluent level.

Her background in teaching was immediately evident and within a couple of months I was able to pronounce most words correctly and felt confident reading out loud as she then started on developing my grammar and vocabulary. She made learning fun and is a very nice person to spend time with talking about not just the Danish language but the Culture and history of the country also.

The only reason I stopped my classes with Bitten was due to me actually moving to Denmark at the end of 2015. Something I did with a lot more confidence thanks to my time spent with her. I would highly recommend using Bitten for any Danish based learning needs as her understanding and flexibility towards the pupils learning habits makes her one of the best tutors available.

I can`t recommend Bitten highly enough. I`ve very much enjoyed my lessons and find her teaching style very engaging and productive. If I wasn`t moving to Denmark, I`d be having lessons with her for the foreseeable future. She has taken me from a complete novice to someone in with confidence to chat in Danish.
