I have experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, my role is to assist a SEN Child who has severe learning difficulties including autism.. This role has enhanced so many of my skills and understandings, it has extended my understanding of an autistic child’s needs and shown me how they understand and learn in a different ways to other children. In the afternoon I teach a Phonics group of lower ability children who need extra help with their phonics and spellings, I try to keep this work as fun and educational as possible so the children want to learn and are eager to do the work I have set.
