Teaching French is something I love doing, and assisting teenagers and adults in their learning brings me great joy, as I see them become more and more confident!

The last results for my students have been very encouraging: three students I have been teaching for 3 years were awarded grades 9, 9 and 8; a student I tutored just for year 11 received a grade 7; and finally, another student whose mum pleaded with me to tutor again in year 13 for his EBAC, as I tutored him in year 11, was awarded a grade 7 (the highest grade he could get and he was getting grade 5s when I first took him on).


Although my specialism was originally teaching teenagers at KS3 and KS4 and preparing them for GCSE, over the three years, I have been tutoring many adults: some have been taking lessons for personal reasons and others because French is a language that they use at work.

Since I have 25 years experience of preparing students for their GCSEs, and was a Head of Department for 7 years, I have developed a great variety of strategies to engage all. This is from the weakest to the most able. All I am asking is that students have a desire to improve!! We can do the rest together!

Availability: I have little availability at the moment:
I am available at:
9am on Mondays
10 am on Wednesdays and 6pm
From 1pm to 4pm on Thursday
9am on Fridays and between 2pm to 5pm.
I have nothing outside these slots as I want to keep the quality of my lessons

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: I prefer teaching online as I have a lot of tutoring sessions and this enables me to help more students and have a wider reach. I have taught more than 2,000 lessons online using my own platform.

I am a native French teacher with 25 years of teaching GCSE French to a very wide range of students. I was Head of the Languages Department for the last 10 years. I have the same number of years` experience teaching KS3 students.

Finally, I have got past experience of teaching adults of varying ability and I am currently teaching 7 adults from beginners to near fluent.I have been teaching some of my students for the last 3 years.

I love teaching such a wide variety of students of all ages!
