Information about Lucy
I am currently the Head of Business and Head of Careers at a private girls school in Surrey, but I also have experience teaching in mixed state schools and colleges. Although I have taught using other exam boards at the moment I teach the AQA syllabus and have most knowledge and experience of this specification. I have 2 young children and understand the importance of finding the right tutor. I have a wealth of resources that I can share, including practice questions, past papers and clear guidance on the appropriate exam technique. I have attended many AQA feedback seminars to ensure my knowledge and information is always current and in line with exam board requirements.
Availability: I am currently available for lessons on Wednesdays until 3pm and Monday and Friday 4.30 - 6.30pm.

Experience: I qualified as teacher in 2006 and have been teaching in Surrey ever since. I am currently Head of Business at a private girls school but have previously been Head of Department at a leading state comprehensive in Surrey.
50% of my students in the 2019 exam group were awarded an A* at A Level in Business, with 100% achieving grade A*B.

Lucy is a fantastic Business Studies tutor. She knows her subject inside out. She explains things clearly and provides present-day examples which helps to understand the topics and make them more relevant so young people can relate to them. Lucy also provided loads of extra resources to reinforce any particular topic. My daughter greatly improved her grades (she achieved an A in her latest mocks). We highly recommend Lucy and we are very grateful of all her help.
