Information about Theresa
Guten Tag und Hallo!
Availability: Available every day (after school)
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am a qualified primary school teacher (qualified in Austria and the UK) and also have a Masters Degree in Creative Practices in Education.
In recent years I have been teaching German in High Schools and Primary Schools. As well as being a class teacher in a primary school in Cheshire. In every school I worked, I have also been responsible for children that moved to the UK and come from a German Speaking background (more kids than one would think!).
I am tutoring for 10 years now - often next to studying and full-time jobs. Over the years I met so many interesting people from nearly all ages with completely different learning backgrounds - I keep on enjoying tutoring more and more with every new student
Feedback For Theresa (2)
Theresa has been my tutor for almost three months now, and I have nothing but praise for her.
Theresa has a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Education, and is furthermore qualified to teach at primary school. Theresa also has experience of both teaching in general, and specifically teaching German too.
The first lesson with Theresa is free, where she takes the time to understand things such as the students motivation for learning the chosen subject and the students learning style and preferences.
Theresa invests time and careful thought into preparing material that is tailored for the student in advance of the lesson. Theresa is also very flexible when scheduling lessons. And when the lessons do take place, Theresa is always punctual.
During the lessons, Theresa is attentive to the students needs and explains concepts really well. Theresa also offers plenty of encouragement and her feedback is excellent.
Overall, I really enjoy learning with Theresa, and she delivers tuition to an exceptionally high standard.
Theresa is an excellent tutor. She is punctual and friendly. My 5 year old daughter enjoys her German lesson and is making progress.
Further to feedback I provided previously on Theresa, she contacted me in May following my earlier attempts to arrange tutoring with her. Sadly it seems there was a problem with her contact details and/or technology and she had never received any of the attempts I had made to contact her via various means for which she apologised.
As I indicated to her in our correspondence - and I noted in my earlier feedback - I had felt very positive about her potential as a tutor from our initial communication and had looked forward to working with her. Despite things not having worked out for ourselves, I still have that impression and wish her all the best.
My initial contact with Theresa was very positive and she gave me some useful advice on the material I was planning to use to learn German. We agreed a timeline when it would suit us to meet to further discuss how this could work. At the point at which I bought her contact details in anticipation of arranging this, I have not heard anything further from her - not even to inform me that she is no longer available to tutor me if that is the case despite several attempts on my side to make contact. This is a shame as I had been very positive about the initial interaction and so hope there was a good reason for the subsequent lack of contact.
Tutor Hunt have been very positive and have been quick to provide me with the opportunity to acquire another tutor`s details at no further cost to me when I choose to do that.
We have found Theresa to be very good. She was flexible in arranging times for the tutor sessions, always friendly and easy to talk to, always punctual, and very quickly understood what areas my son needed to focus on and suggested a plan for each lesson we had booked. My son is enjoying the tutor sessions and I feel happy that they are helping greatly.
