I am a highly qualified PhD graduate just entering into the world of private tuition. I am a highly motivated individual with the desire to help people of all ages and all intellectual abilities to achieve their desired goals.

For new students, I offer a free one-to-one consultation to discuss specific requirements and build a cohesive, student-centered plan together in order to help achieve their aims.

I specialise in General Science at Primary and KS3 levels, as well as Biology and Chemistry at GCSE, AS and A2 levels.

I currently work for a Biotechnology company based in Abingdon and will be tutoring in my spare time. I am a father to two children, Harriet (3) and Rory (1) who are already helping my practice my tutoring skills.

Availability: Weekday evenings with the occasional weekend

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have had direct experience tutoring 3 individuals, 2 of whom were being examined at IGCSE level, one in Dual Award Science and one in Triple Award Science. I have also tutored a mature student studying for Equivalency Testing Examinations in Biology

I am relatively new to private tuition but believe my academic qualifications hold me in good stead:

PhD in Structural and Molecular Biology (University of Edinburgh)
MSc in Drug Chemistry (University of Newcastle upon Tyne)
BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (Northumbria University)

During my PhD I worked as a course demonstrator for undergraduate students in their structural biology workshops
