Information about Daisy
Having recently graduated from University College London with an MSc (merit) in neuroscience, I am eager to remain engaged with academia- I enjoy the process of learning and I thrive off wor relationships with others. When I was in school, I was hospitalised due to an illness for several months and missed out on much of the teaching that was needed for me to obtain my grade, but with the help of some tutors, I managed to learn the entirety of the syllabus for each subject and received four A-levels. I marked 100% on two subjects. For reasons based on my personal experience, I am devoted to helping others who require tutoring, and I will do everything I can to help those I may have the privilege of wor with to succeed. I am especially skilled when it comes to committing large amounts of information to memory. Even though I no longer sit exams, I put into practice the techniques I have used with great success while enrolled at UCL (also undergraduate- BSc Psychology) and during my A-Levels/GCSEs- for example, I set myself the challenge to memorise the entirety of the Love Song of Alfred J. Prufrock, one of my favourite poems, by T.S. Eliot, and surprised myself, knowing it by heart in a matter of hours (it may not sound like much, but if you see the length and complexity of the poem, you`ll see why I was surprised!) I believe that I can share my aptitude for learning the information necessary to excel in examinations with any students I have the opportunity to get to know. I`m 26 years old, friendly, dedicated, punctual, and passionate about things like Beat Generation literature, etymology, the linguistic relativity hypothesis, philosophy and behavioural genetics. I think I would be quite a useful tool for anyone loo to be well-prepared for A-levels or GCSE exams, and can teach Psychology at a postgraduate level. Thank you very much for your consideration.

Experience: I have experience tutoring primarily GCSE English Language and English Literature, in addition to Psychology at A-Level and Degree Level. I have also helped students with exam preparation- figuring out the most efficient way that their brains encode information to remember for exams, whether it`s through verbal repetition of the information or visual prompts or mind maps etc.- and when tutoring to prepare for English exams I invest in helping students broaden their vocabulary and perfect their grammar. I additionally have some experience with adult learners of English who hope to improve their conversation or writing skills, and achieve a higher level of fluency.
