Information about Amber
My name is Amber, and I`m a local student currently on my gap year. I left Wilmslow High School in August 2019. I achieved 4A*s in my A-Levels, studying English Literature, Psychology, History and an Extended Project Qualification. I`m super friendly, understanding and willing to offer a competitive rate; I know many parents struggle to find affordable private tutors. I am mobile and willing to travel within a 10 mile radius- I am based in Wilmslow/Alderley Edge.
Availability: I am extremely flexible- I`m happy to offer sessions on weekdays(including evenings) or weekends.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Having only very recently left full-time education, I am familiar with the system, general practises and expectations of students particularly at GCSE and A-Level. Having spent so long in education, I am familiar with the most effective ways of learning, which I hope to share with others.
- I am very familiar with demands of the current GCSE and A-Level syllabuses. I was amongst the first cohort to formally sit the 9-1 grading system GCSE exams in English and Maths.
-I achieved all A*-A grades at GCSE and would be willing to tutor for any GCSE subjects that are compulsory for students, excluding the science double award, which I did not sit myself.
- I took the 11+ exam so could bring some first-hand experience of the questions and preparations for this, for students interested in taking the exam next September.
-I am also happy to offer general advice on effective revision techniques and exam technique, particularly for those subjects which I studied at A-Level.
