I am a highly experienced teacher and tutor, A-level examiner, as well as an Oxford graduate. I give excellent support in preparing pupils for exams, as a result of which, in the recent exam series, 67% of pupils in my classes at school achieved A* or A grades for their A-level. I deliver enjoyable lessons, making complex principles easy to understand, and with an emphasis on students being actively involved in learning. I love helping students achieve a "lightbulb" moment, when something that they previously struggled to understand becomes crystal clear. I am also an examiner for Cambridge International A-Level exam board.

My students consistently achieve outstanding results and in recent years have achieved places at top universities including Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College, studying prestigious courses including medicine, dentistry, engineering and chemistry.

I work with students from all over the world, including those for whom English is not their first language. As well as A-level and IB teaching, I help students prepare for Olympiad competitions and technical university interviews.

As a Chemistry tutor, I take a twofold approach, helping students develop a really deep understanding of chemical concepts, whilst also developing their study skills so they can continue making excellent progress between tutorials. I have outstanding academic credentials myself, and use my deep subject knowledge to help students develop a first principles understanding of as many concepts as possible.

I am skilled in explaining complex phenomena in a simple way. I set regular work and teach my students to review and analyse their answers so as to learn from any mistakes.
