I am a very approachable and experienced teacher who strives to make my students feel confident in order for them to obtain the best results.

I believe in promoting a learning environment which is engaging and that allows children to feel confident to ‘have a go’ even when they are unsure, in order to learn from misconceptions and make progress.

Availability: I am available on week day evenings from 4pm onwards, and have some availability on Saturdays.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I have been teaching in Primary and Prep schools for ten years, and have particular experience and expertise in Year 5 and in preparing my students for the 11+ style selection tests.

For the last three years I have also worked as Director of Studies, and, with the Head Teacher, have overseen the areas of teaching and learning, curriculum and assessment within my school. Due to this I also have significant experience in preparing our Year 2 and Year 6 pupils with their SATS examinations, and have also invigilated these examinations in recent years.

During my teaching career I have also conducted 1:1 private tuition and have supported many children of different ages over the years for specific support in certain subjects or for 11+ prep, as well as more general support.
