Information about Clare
I am a qualified Science Teacher, currently teaching in a Ofsted graded Outstanding school. Furthermore, I am a specialist examiner for OCR Biology and AQA Biology, meaning that I mark GCSE papers. This gives me excellent knowledge of exam questions and how they should be answered which is extremely beneficial to my students.
I`m patient, friendly and enthusiastic. I love teaching and one to one tutoring. Not only do I focus on subject enhancement, but also on building students` confidence and exam technique to enable them to reach their potential. I specialise in Biology, but teach all three sciences at school and in tutor sessions to GCSE level.
I offer a free hour first meeting session to check that I am happy with the student and of course that they are happy with me as a tutor.

Experience: I teach all three sciences and currently teach the new AQA science schemes of work and have also tutored students following Edexcel Science, iGCSE and OCR Gateway triple science. I currently teach a range of abilities and so can adapt to your grade level and will frequently assess your progress using past exam papers.

Clare tutored our daughter for her science GCSE ‘s. Clare is highly recommended, very knowledgeable and supportive and helped to boost our daughter’s confidence, Over the time that she tutored our daughter, she was flexible if other commitments arose and was very committed to supporting our daughter in her studies. I would highly recommend Clare, our daughter developed her technique as a result of Clare’s skill and expertise and gained grade 9’s in all her science GCSE’s.

Clare is fantastic. Hired to teach my daughter physics but can also tutor biology and chemistry. Reliable punctual totally flexible and a really nice person. Also an aqa examiner. Can not recommend highly enough.

I can not recommend Clare highly enough. Her knowledge of the AQA exam is invaluable and she has helped our daughter understand topics which she had previously not understood at school.
