Information about Karen
I am 54 years old and live in Kent - I have been teaching mostly MFL in secondary schools, for over 30 years.
I have held many pastoral posts in that time - Head of Year/Head of Community and Assistant Headteacher, responsible for Teaching and Learning; Extended Schools; Whole School Literacy and CEIAG. I have also been a `tripaholic` - taking students all across the world to the USA; France; Germany; Italy, as well as many trips at home.
I am passionate about film and theatre. I have 2 boys - 21 and 18. I love to travel and thoroughly enjoy working with young people.
Availability: Weekdays mostly up until 3.30 pm

Experience: Over 30 years experience as a secondary teacher - MFL + English (mainstream teacher and HOD). I have also taught KS3 maths in secondary and Year 7 and 8 History. I have been a pastoral leader in charge of KS3 and KS4 and also an Assistant Headteacher in charge of CEIAG; Extended Schools; MFL and Teaching and Learning.
I have over 15 year experience of 11+ tuition - currently have many students. I hold full 11+ mock examinations in my classroom 5/6 times a year and provide full marking and feedback, advising on gaps that need to be filled.
I am also a fully qualified foster carer.
Degree BA Joint Hons German and Russian, with second method English - qualified 11-18

Karen is amazing. I knew nothing when going to her but only after a couple of lessons I can now understand the basics and speak more than I could ever hope to. She is super patient and gives you all the encouragement you need. I have a lot of confidence when with her.
