I work with children aged 6 to 12 years to help them improve their confidence and skill in English and Maths. I also coach children and young adults to help them improve their well-being and confidence, including in basic maths and English.

I have over 25 years of experience in education and I love helping children and young people to develop their confidence and overcome any difficulties with learning in a particular subject. I have been a classroom teacher, deputy headteacher, educational consultant and school governor. Over the years I have tutored and coached children and adults and get a lot of satisfaction from helping them to achieve their goals and grow in confidence. I have many satisfied clients.

I am passionate about learning and helping others to achieve in their learning. I am warm and friendly and will take care to put your child at ease so that they feel comfortable and ready to learn. I like to understand the key goals of the tutoring and achieve those by being supportive, patient and creative in my teaching. I am described as enthusiastic and kind. I am also patient and persistent with students when necessary! I also have experience of teaching and tutoring students with special learning needs.
I relocated to Leicestershire from Oxfordshire in 2018. In Oxfordshire, I was busy with tutoring and coaching children aged 5 to 15.
I currently have some availability, and am happy to tutor in your home following all the necessary precautions, or using an online platform is you prefer . I would be happy to hear from you and to help your child. Please contact me for more details.

Availability: I am flexible and can be available daytimes, after school or early evening. In exceptional circumstances I am able to offer some weekends.

Experience: I have taught children aged 5 to 15 years. I have over 22 years of experience in education as a class teacher, school leader, consultant, teacher trainer and school governor.

My qualifications include; B.Ed in Science and Primary Education; Post Graduate Certificate in Education Studies; Level 5 diploma in Coaching and Mentoring.

I have privately tutored primary and KS3 pupils, primarily in English and maths but also other subjects (science, geography, history, French). I am a trained coach and mentor and use coaching techniques to help young people achieve their goals and develop their confidence.
