Information about Fatima

Having already obtained a first class biomedical BSc (hons) degree from the University of East Anglia, I am now currently studying Medicine at University of Leeds.

I believe that education is the supreme key to a successful future and it is why I am so passionate to inspire, ignite creative thinking and awaken the love of learning in my tutees.

The problem with today’s education system, is the failure to realise that everyone learns differently and at different paces, and therefore as your tutor and teacher my aim is to identify your barriers and construct a tailored approach that suits your individualistic needs
I do this by providing learning materials, teaching the best learning techniques that will help you excel in you exams and most importantly instilling long life learning skills over the course of my tutor sessions.

I am supportive, friendly and patient individual who is keen to ensure that as a student you do reach your full academic potential.

ACADEMIC MENTOR - I was as a full time mentor for over a year in a collage (age range 16+), supporting A Level, BTEC and GCSE students. My role was to provide 1-2-1 session, provide career advice and help with personal statements and constructing recognisable CV.

PRIVATE TUTOR – I currently tutor individuals on a 1-2-1 basis. I usually do this either in a public library/coffee shop. I occasionally do home visits – this all depends on the needs of my tutee.

SUPPORT WORKER WITH MENCAP - I have worked with individuals with learning disabilities for a year and therefore I also have an understanding of the different barrier that such individuals may face.

MORROCO ORPHANAGE VOLUNTEER – In morocco I carried out voluntary work where I helped teach English and maths to individuals under the age of 16. I also participated in building skills and providing teaching skill advice.

GREAT ORMOND STREET VOLUNTEER – My role as a volunteer involved planning education and play themes for children under the age of 13.

PEER MENTOR – As a peer mentor during my last year undergraduate degree I mentored those at university level also.
