Club Overview

The popular after-school clubs are run in the Sevenoaks, Dartford and Orpington area with venues in Blackheath, Otford, Farningham, Crockenhill and Dartford. Groups are between 8 - 12. The clubs are a supportive environment with varied and engaging activities. Our ethos is to facilitate the children’s learning, encouraging their natural ability to shine, alongside supporting them and in any areas they need and developing their thinking skills. The year 4 course is designed to build core skills in maths and English with some key reasoning skills, this is then built on and further developed in year 5, covering the more complex topics multiple times and to a greater depth.

The curriculum I’ve devised is suitable for many of the local entrance and different 11+ tests taken in the area, covering maths, English and reasoning. The children are not assessed before they join and some children who attend may not not be planning on taking the 11+, some attend in order to build their confidence in maths and English. The mix of abilities means children get opportunities for peer to peer teaching which is a fantastic way to reinforce their learning.

Children are welcome to attend a trial session, this session is then paid for if you decide to continue.

I have been teaching since 2007 with consistent outstanding feedback from observations. In my most recent full-time role, I was a Head of Department and managed the Primary School Transition Team, working closely with many of the surrounding Primary Schools in South East London. Having moved to Kent and left full-time teaching to spend time with my young family, I started running after-school clubs in 2013. Since starting the clubs I have helped many children make huge leaps in their progress and confidence in the classroom, as well as go on to be successful in the Eleven Plus.

My two colleagues are both fully qualified teachers holding current DBS checks and full liability insurance. We all have a passion for excellent teaching and love engaging students in creative ways.

Wednesdays: Dartford Year 4 3.55pm - 4.55pm / Year 5 5pm - 7pm

Thursdays: Crockenhill Year 4 3.55pm - 4.55pm/ Year 5 5pm - 7pm

Thursdays: Otford Year 4 4pm - 5pm / Year 5 only 5.05pm - 7.05pm
