I’m a fully qualified geography teacher, with QTS and a recent DBS check (April 2018).

I’ve been tutoring privately for the past 3 years, and have prepared students for a variety of exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR, and for GCSE, A Level and iGCSE.

I have a real passion for Geography and enjoy teaching students a wide variety of topics, including human and physical geography, and geographical skills and fieldwork. I have a coaching style and help students identify their target areas – knowledge or skills gaps – so that I can support them with effective explanations to develop their understanding. I teach effective essay-writing and help students to develop their answers to practice questions.

Availability: I work from my home office and I`m currently available from 3-7pm on weekdays. I may be able to help at weekends.

I can provide online resources and revision materials and can offer online tutoring.

Experience: I have 14 years experience teaching secondary Geography at an outstanding comprehensive school in Oxfordshire. I worked as Subject Leader and Faculty Leader for Humanities and built a Geography department team with GCSE and A level results that have been consistently above the national average. I have a wealth of experience teaching GCSE and A level and in recent years, I’ve taken a lead in developing courses to meet the demands of the new GCSE and A level specifications.
