Information about Jillian
I teach English at GCSE and A Level so I am fully up to date with current texts and curricula. I have extensive experience teaching at local schools, grammar schools, colleges and at university level.
I have a current DBS.
My experience is varied, I am friendly and approachable I pride myself on raising student confidence as well as improving their knowledge and skills.
I offer tutoring from Common Entrance, to Eleven Plus, to GCSE, AS and A Level. I have experience with most exam boards, and I am currently working as an External Quality Assurer.
Discounts are also available for half termly payments in advance.

Jillian has just started tutoring my son with his English A2. Already after only a few sessions she has given him much more confidence in his own abilities. Very approachable and has a good rapport with her students.

Jillian kindly took me on despite being fully booked as I desperately needed help with a section of the course work prior to my English GCSE.
I have found her to be hard working, well prepared (all lessons fully prepared and hand outs already printed and brought with her). She has also emailed me additional resources and given me numerous tips and detailed explanations of what is required from me in the exam.
Her teaching style is very clear and easy to understand and has already been of enormous benefit to me.
I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend Jillian - I just wish I had found her sooner!
