I love English and my passion for the subject is something I try and translate into my teaching. I allow the the student to have a voice in their learning by encouraging their thoughts and feelings about the source material. This not only helps the student to relate to the material but it helps them to write about it, no matter what level they are currently working towards.

I use action plans and individual learning plans to navigate the students learning, this helps both myself as the tutor and the student to understand exactly what we are working towards and how we are going to get there. This structure will allow for independent study outside of the classroom and tutor setting.
