Information about Elysse
My name is Elysse and I graduated with a 2:1 in BSc Psychology from the University of the West of England. Currently studying my MSc in Educational Neuroscience at UCL and Birkbeck University in October.
I have a wealth of experience supporting and tutoring students since I finished my A-Levels. I tutored A level Biology and Psychology students during this time as well as through my company known as The ELY Project. We support students from underrepresented backgrounds who want to pursue a career in Psychology. I also have a depth of experience in equality, diversity and inclusion and social action projects. This works carried out alongside my studies and I am still presently involved today.
I like to understand my where my students are at first before we tackle scary course content, although I can promise it sounds a lot more intimidating than it actually is.
I look forward to tutoring whoever selects me as their tutor. I have a full UK driving licence and car, so can offer both on-line and in-person tutoring.
Availability: Availability can vary but I can adjust depending on student needs.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I like to ensure that my students not only understand the course content but also the various techniques in regards to the examinations. I help students` to find the best way for them to learn and develop confidence in understanding course content. I`m part of the Neurodiverse community so have a depth of understanding into students who struggle a little more than other`s but can adjust accordingly. I like to make connections between students personal experiences and course content to help them remember key details during exams. Creativity is a big part of my approach but it is always personalised to the student. Not one size fits all.
I have completed my BSc in Psychology and am currently studying my MSc in Educational Neuroscience. I can support students in GCSE and A-Level Psychology, Academic Support with University Applications and those currently in University.
