Information about Lee
Oxford University DPhil Candidate with over 10 years of teaching experience.
I have always been very capable in all areas of study throughout my education and have relished the opportunity to help others understand concepts within them.
As a very sociable person, I get on well with people of all ages and am constantly astounded at how quickly young people`s minds can absorb and understand new information. I pride myself on the rapport I build with my students and excel in translating information in a very concise and understandable way to people of all intellectual abilities.
I am currently pursuing a DPhil in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at Oxford University, following my attainment of a First Class MSci degree in Natural Sciences from University College London.
My interests outside of science and teaching include sport, mainly golf and football, films and cooking.
Availability: I am available to tutor most days of the week and I`m very flexible with my availability.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have previously tutored a number of students, individually as well as in large groups, helping them all the achieve or exceed their target grades. The subjects I have covered include all sciences and maths subjects at both GCSE and A level as well as coaching students for the 11+ entrance exam. I develop a fantastic rapport with these students and have played an active role in their transition into secondary school, college or university.
I have also taken part in leading many student-run study groups in my college and senior school.
Feedback For Lee (6)
Lee was an excellent tutor for my daughters A level chemistry, and I would highly recommend him. He tutored my daughter for around 3 months leading up to her A level this year and she achieved a grade improvement in her result. Lee was always on time and gave invaluable 1-2-1 support - the greatest change we saw was the confidence
Lee is a very good tutor. He taught my son Science, especially in Physics and Chemistry. He is kind and patient, and be active in thinking about the questions. My son likes his teaching. I will recommend him.
Would recommend, Lee is a great tutor with passion for the subjects. Had him for A Level maths and chemistry and his way of teaching, enthusiasm and confidence in your ability to learn has been an incredible help.
With Lees help, my grandson achieved an A in his GCSE Maths. He found him easy to work with and good fun. A really chilled guy and a great teacher. Thank you Lee.
Our son enjoyed being tutored by Lee. There was a good balance of laughter and seriousness and our son really did look forward to his lessons every week. Lee gave our son the skills and confidence to sit an entrance exam which resulted in an offer of a place.
We would highly recommend Lee.
Lee is an excellent tutor, well organised and able to personalise study programmes brilliantly. Delighted with his tutoring.
