I have been teaching English for over 9 years through one-to-one, in person and small group sessions. I have been teaching English language learners of all ages ranging from 6 to 78 years old. I have taught adults and students of different cultures and countries including French, Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese persons.

I am an experienced online English teacher. I have taught students of different proficiency levels and ages using Skype, Google Hangout and other platforms. I have experience using props in junior sessions, motivational techniques in intermediary sessions and conversational enhancement methods in more advanced sessions.


My teaching method is tailored to the needs of each individual learner to ensure that each student gets the best learning experience possible so they can progress in their English language abilities.

I understand why it is important to my students to learn English and I am empathetic to their reasons. As such I have successfully taught and helped ESL students with Business English utilizing my experience as a Financial Adviser for over 10 years. I have assisted with job interviews and presentations for work or college. I have guided my students to successfully sit the IELTS and TOIEC exams.

I am a language learner myself, currently learning to speak French and Mandarin. I therefore understand how difficult and frustrating it can be sometimes to learn a new language. As a result I am very patient with my students and I offer encouragement because I also know how fun and beneficial it can be when you know how to communicate effectively in another language.

I am a compassionate teacher, who remains sensitive to students’ needs, employing effective listening and providing individual and whole group support, offering positive encouragement and reinforcing to keep students focused and motivated.

I consider myself to be a nice mix between an outdoor and an indoor person. I enjoy reading a good book on the couch as much as I love going to the beach.

I love listening to music and I try to sing sometimes (smile). I enjoy watching and acting in plays at the theater.

I am a big sports fan. I love basketball, football (soccer), cricket and track and field. I will tell you my favorite teams and players later.

The world is ours to enjoy so I also love to travel and meeting new people and learning about different cultures and way of life. I love cooking and trying new recipes and cuisines. If you have a good recipe, I would like you to share it with me.
