Experience: I have taught English as a second language in Spain, before I moved to London in 2012 and since I have been here, I have been working in different types of schools and levels of education, including private schools. academies , local authority and independent language schools at primary, secondary and sixth form levels. I am currently teaching Spanish at a secondary school, and I also do private tuition from primary to GCSE`S and A-Levels, as well as adult learners.
I did my teacher training at Goldsmiths University, where I had the chance to learn different teaching methodologies, giving special focus on intercultural understanding and creativity. In my lessons I tend to use a wide range of different original resources as music, films, arts and literature , that promote language learning through the knowledge of the culture. Also, for me it is important to teach in target language and create a space in the lesson where there is a purpose to use the language, so the students are able to speak spontaneously in target language and get confidence in their communication skills. This always increases their motivation and curiosity for learning languages , and therefore their academic results also improve.
