Information about Richard
I gained my PhD in 2002 in Biochemistry. Until the end of 2012, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Imperial College, London, where I studied proteins involved in pain signalling. Following the birth of my first son, I decided to move to Lincolnshire and become a stay-at-home parent.
I feel my higher level of knowledge, gained from my career as a biochemistry / protein chemist researcher, brings a more though learning experience for my students compared to lessons they receive at school.

Very helpful with A-level Chemistry support. Patient, interesting & explains concepts clearly. Richard has also been flexible with sessions, which has been appreciated.

Richard is concise and thorough in the way he teaches. My son had difficulties and problems with understanding biology but his GCSE exams were creeping up. Thanks to Richard he fell in love with Biology. He quickly improved his grade by multiple levels and he is now thinking of taking Biology for his A-levels. We couldnt have found anybody that was better. Thank you Richard for finding the time to squeeze my son in.
