I adapt my teaching style for each student to ensure that they are able to gain the most from each session. I make sure I teach in a way that enables the student to determine the correct answer by themselves, instead of trying to memorise how to answer particular questions. I tend to see this generally leads to better results as there is less pressure to try and remember large amounts of content.

I make sure that the student understands the learning objective for each lesson before moving on, this may involve re-explaining the same idea using different methods until the student is happy. I won`t get impatient because in my option, if you didn`t understand the learning objective by the end of the session, the session was a waste and it`s my fault. I also emphasize what information is needed/not needed to know for the exam and structure my lessons so the student is in control of the structure of the lessons and what subjects they would like to learn, letting them feel empowered.

I have plenty of experience including 7 years maths tutoring experience at all levels including in a face to face and online situation. I was also a seminar teacher for 1st Year maths students at university. I am also an instructor within the RAF Air Cadets and have been for over 6 years.
