I`m Wez and I`m a 34 year old maths graduate that originates from Doncaster. I moved down to the Romford area 7 years ago and became an experienced tutor in the local area. I`m a friendly and pleasant tutor who loves the job of bringing the core subjects into focus for people.

The first hour I give will always be discounted to make up for the fact that you have to pay this website to get my details.

I currently travel to Romford, Gidea Park, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Rainham, Elm Park and Upminster. Prices listed are for clients within easy access that fit well into my schedule. If you are outside my usual travel area I may be willing to travel but will require extra pay to compensate for the travel time.

My specialist subject is Maths which I tutor up to and beyond A Level. If you are in need of a tutor that specialises in Mathematics and presents the ideas in a relatable way then I`m a great choice. I believe Maths can be taught to anybody of any age with the right approach. If the foundation for Maths is wrong then a learners progress is severely limited. It takes a specialist like me to notice the difference between people who understand and people who think they understand. Always be certain that a Maths teacher really understands the core principles.

I also tutor English up to GCSE level and have great understanding and many years of experience tutoring it. I have extensive experience with both Language and Literature and know exactly what it takes to get students up to a high GCSE standard. I am a skilled writer myself with great experience writing and analysing pieces in a variety of text forms.

My teaching style isn`t finite or abrupt. I will teach beyond the syllabus if it is needed to give full and proper understanding of the topic and to enhance future learning. I have far too many people come to me as failing students who are only taught the bare minimum to pass. I have not tutored a student yet that has not had major gains in their understanding and grades.

I am PGCE trained and well educated in all of my subjects so have all the tools to effectively tutor a student into reaching their potential. I am well experienced within the field and have been tutoring for the past 7 years independently.

I`ve tutored all ages of children from 5-18 and am great with children of any age. I also have had success in tutoring adult learners.

Availability: My standard in person price is £45 per hour for weekday evenings. For lessons that begin at 2pm or earlier I charge £40 per hour.

Lessons can be shared between pupils for no extra charge. I have a few examples of students in the past doing very well with 2 students sharing the cost of 1 session. Sharing is a great way to make things more affordable for you and with the right partner it may even help their learning.

Experience: I worked as a teaching assistant for one year before studying mathematics at University. Following that I trained on a PGCE Secondary Mathematics course to learn how to teach to a high standard. I have worked for a couple of tuition centres in the past and tutored children at West Ham Football Academy. I have tutored numerous children at their homes and seen plenty of growth from all of my students.

I have experience and expertise in tutoring special needs children including one to one tuition with multiple children with cerebral palsy, ADD, ADHD and ASD diagnoses.

If your child is non-verbal, has limited verbal understanding or a similar communication disorder then please understand that I may have to spend the first few lessons teaching them communication before they can be taught more complicated concepts.
