Information about Louise
I am a Secondary English Teacher at a High School in Nantwich. I have been teaching for fifteen years and during that time I have taught a wealth of students at KS3/4 and 5. I have in depth knowledge of the English Curriculum and have taught students of all abilities. My lessons are thoroughly planned, well-resourced and fun. Whilst preparing, I always consider individual need and aspects of each lesson are personalised and tailored to complement individual learning styles.
I have experience of teaching the AQA/Edexcel and WJEC examination boards both at KS4 and 5. I have taught GCSE English Language, Literature and Media Studies. I also teach A/AS Level English Literature and will provide supervision for coursework and preparation for exams.
I write new schemes of learning to suit varied abilities, run exam and booster session and deliver intervention programmes for GCSE classes.
I believe that my enthusiasm, approachability and innovative style, stimulates the interest of all students in my subject. With younger students, I feel that is important to instil a sense of creativity and freedom of expression, alongside improving basic literacy skills and preparing them for future examinations. My aim is to help students to develop an appreciation and cultivate an interest in the subject, not only for the classroom but also for their future careers.
