Hello, thank you for looking at my profile. I am currently a lecturer and have experience in teaching History, Sociology, Psychology and law. I have an excellent track record of working with students often challenged by the subject or have lost faith, producing excellent data. Tutors may have age and experience, but this means they are good at teaching in their old manner. I have been taught to be a friend to the student and really help them believe in themselves, not just teach. I have a range of expertise in the subject. Firstly, I am an examiner for AQA meaning I know how the exam works backwards. Secondly, I am a mentor for aspiring new teachers and help train them to teach Sociology meaning I have, as expressed below, modern and new techniques.

I am a relaxed tutor, who allows the students to feel at home. I will push for results, as I have worked in both private schools and standard high schools. I believe in teaching for life as well as exams. Rather than teaching in the same boring fashion as some older tutors may do. I have been taught to teach using modern methods really allowing the student to learn not just for now, but for the future. I try to involve the student and treat the student like an adult, as I know and understand that being tutored is sometimes nervous and students can be fearful of being condescended. This will not happen with me. We need to work together to get the grades you want, not me telling you what to do. Try a modern approach to tutoring, rather than the old fashioned type. Young, fast and proven.
