Information about Magdalena
I am a Photographer, born in Poland and moved to England in 2010 to continue my art education in Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts and at Royal College of Arts where I graduated in 2019 with a Masters Degree in Photography. I have been teaching Art Theory and Practice for almost 10 years now, helping students with portfolio preparation and applications to art universities and competitions as well as teaching students who are only making their first steps in the art world. I create a custom made programs for each student depending on their needs and expectations. First I assess the level of a student and discuss what are the ambitions and plans for the future and from there I can lead them towards their goal. I also lead Photography and Graphic Design courses. I am familiar with a range of exam boards including AQA, Pearson Edexcel and I have experience teaching students from primary level to higher education.
I am confident about sharing my knowledge and experience with others while motivating and giving the freedom in self-exploration and experimentation while having the structure and discipline allowing the best possible development of the student and providing support and motivating critique.
I am inspired by the Great Masters of the Renaissance and believe the knowledge of history and contemporary context is an essential part of artistic development. Therefore, I encourage my students to pursue research which is a great tool in creating. I have experience supporting my students while preparing for their A-Levels as well as helping with university applications and submission of projects and essay during their degrees.
