Information about Stephanie
I completed a Bachelor Degree in German and Czech at the University of Bristol and attained a 2:1, having completed a year abroad with 6 months spent in each country. I achieved A Levels in German and French at grade A and have kept up my French throughout my degree. Alongside my studies I also participated in the study skills program at my university as a mentor, in which I help first and second year students develop the skills required for independent learning at degree level.
I have completed a PGCE (teacher training course) in German and French at the University of Oxford and am currently working as a secondary school teacher at a school in Alton.
Availability: Weekdays at agreed times, evenings possible.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am a qualified language teacher with QTS from the University of Oxford and therefore am confident with working with all pupils aged 10-19. I know the current GCSE and A-Level AQA and Edexcel curriculums very well, and have also tutored students to the WJEC exam board.
Whilst at university I tutored individuals and small groups, with 3 students progressing from a C at AS Level to an A at A Level.
I have also provided intensive tutoring courses during the summer to improve students grades, with my student progressing from an E grade to a B grade in just 6 weeks.
Feedback For Stephanie (2)
Stephanie is a great tutor. My child felt motivated and happy after the first lesson. She is organised, punctual and having online lessons has been really straight forward. We have had three informative lessons so far and have further lessons booked. My child looks forward to the sessions which is always a good sign. I would definitely recommend Stephanie for GCSE German.
Five stars! Stephanie came to our house weekly for about 3 months to tutor our son for German A level. We all thought she was excellent: very pleasant, organised, patient and helpful. Our son enjoyed the sessions with Stephanie much more than his college lessons, and is sure he benefited greatly from Stephanie`s tuition. Highly recommended
