I am a London-based Oxford graduate looking to help secondary school students with the study of Latin and/or French. I would also be happy to teach French from scratch to adult learners with a focus on any particular subject that may be of interest to them.

My working hours are highly flexible and I would be willing to approach the subjects from whichever angle one prefers; whether a student wants to practise his/her spoken French, learn Latin grammar only or simply needs help understanding the syllabus. As of June 2019, I have nearly 40 hours` experience of private tuition.

Elsewhere I am a freelance writer who has been published in "The Guardian" and writes mainly about classical music for sites such as Broadway World and Operawire.

Availability: Monday-Saturday, 11am-10pm (last lesson beginning at 10). Some slots are taken but not very many.

Experience: Over the past three and a half years I have acquired over 400 hours of tuition experience both online and in person; this has included in-school teaching online. It has also involved tuition for both advanced learners and those struggling, sometimes on account of learning disabilities such as dyslexia and processing disorders. Additionally I have had the opportunity to tutor native French speakers grammar and some students Latin far beyond their year group (I brought one Year 8 student`s attainment up from no Latin to Year 11-level Latin in the course of a year). Last year I raised the predicted grade of a student from a 5 to the final exam result of an 8.
