We are a family business which started with a search for a tutor.

Looking around for a tutor for our own daughter, my husband and I did lots of research and soon realised there wasn`t a company that solely offered teachers as tutors. We were looking for a qualified, experienced teacher who could bring their own expertise from the classroom and tailor it for a one-to-one setting to suit my own daughter`s specific needs.

Being a teacher myself for 10 years and having taught across the primary spectrum, in each Key Stage, I am acutely aware that not only is every stage distinct and different, but so is every child. Teaching is a skill that entails so much more than a university degree can offer. The continual training and day to day experience of nurturing pupils talents and highlighting and addressing their individual needs takes time to develop.

So we were both surprised and disappointed to find many tutors have no background in teaching at all and no in-depth or inside knowledge of the curriculum and assessments. They have no experience of providing the right provision for the special needs of individual children - whether it be gifted and talented, or others that may need extra support - or the intricate difference between each level to know exactly what is needed to ensure the next level is not only in reach but also secure.

It was this discovery that led to us to form rHIse - a team of highly experienced "Outstanding" teachers with a proven track record of delivering excellent results and raising attainment throughout every Key Stage at primary level.

Availability: I am available every morning 9.00am until 11.30am, every evening and weekend.
