I am an experienced science teacher in an oversubscribed OFSTED outstanding local secondary school with over ten years of teaching experience. I have been credited as an Outstanding Teacher by OFSTED and in 2013 secured a role with the BBC as a learning consultant for the North West of England where I prepare and deliver revision resources and demonstrations for BBC KS3 & GCSE bitesize.

In 2013 I began offering private tuition to students in the North Cheshire, Stockport, Warrington and South Manchester areas. I provide tailored individual and structured support in Biology, Chemistry and Physics for all students at Key Stages 3 and 4 and Biology at Key Stage 5. I also offer bespoke training in verbal and non-verbal training for students preparing to sit the entrance exams/11+ to the local private and grammar schools.

My approach is to work closely with families throughout their child(ren)s science qualifications to provide fully comprehensive and structured support during such a crucial time in their lives. I strive to be imaginative, enthusiastic and motivational, and I take great pride in my fantastic success rate and testimonials, which are all available to see on request.

I have limited 1:1 subject knowledge/exam technique sessions available during normal school hours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. These can be reserved in the usual way and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

I have twice been credited as an Outstanding teacher by OFSTED and in 2013 secured a role with the BBC as a learning consultant for the North West of England. I am fully CRB checked and all documentation and qualifications are available on request.

I studied at Kesteven and Grantham girls Grammar School and achieved A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths in 2003. I went on to study Zoology at The University of Manchester, graduating in 2007 with upper second class honours.

I completed my teacher training at Manchester Metropolitan University where I achieved Qualified Teacher Status with Distinction in Science with a Biology specialism, qualifying me to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE and Biology at AS/A2 level. I was also awarded the `Outstanding trainee teacher` award for my work during the PGCE year.
