I am a first year physics student studying towards an MPhys at the University of Manchester, who wishes to share their passion for the sciences with others and help students achieve the best grades. I achieved an overall grade of 85.7% in my first year so am currently on track for a first. Before university, I studied A-level Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, achieving A*A*A* (and an A in AS-level Further Mathematics) and also attained 12 GCSEs, 10 of which at A* or A, including the sciences/maths. These give me a good knowledge base in these subjects and I also relate closely with A-level and GCSE students being in their position not long ago. I am very passionate about my subjects and have taken interest in them out of school, which I believe has given me a deeper understanding and a wider set of examples, which helps me in explaining them to others.

Availability: I am generally very flexible. I am a university student as well as a part-time tutor and with most of my teaching online I am largely flexible with lesson times. I typically give lessons on weekday evenings and weekends.

Experience: Besides a few months of experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students, I have volunteered for The Ogden Trust in partnership with Brightside as a trained mentor to younger students applying to study physics at university. I am also currently volunteering in the role of a PASS leader (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) where I mentor younger students. I therefore have a lot of experience with helping younger students, explaining concepts and helping them to work through questions.
