Information about Larissa
An experienced and highly qualified native teacher of Italian for foreign speakers. I have been living in London for the past three years and before I left Italy I trained to teach Italian to foreigners. So I have an excellent understanding of the language as well as teaching skills, methods and resources. I am happy to teach the language for different purposes, for example. holidays, GCSE/A level/degree, business or children. Having worked in the business field in Italy for many years, as well as in the UK more recently, I am competent to teach Italian for business purposes.
I believe strongly in the importance of learning a language for communication and love teaching my own beautiful language. In my teaching, I focus on the student`s strengths and adapt my approach to personal needs. I have some experience of supporting pupils who have difficulties with school, and can be flexible in teaching arrangements to suit family or personal circumstances.
Individual pupils as well as groups are welcome, with reduced rates after a second student.
I teach in my home town of Surbiton but am also available to travel to the student`s home or work area.
Availability: Everyday: morning and afternoon, eventually evening.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: 10 years teaching, including 2 in the UK. Adults and children of all levels and ages. Groups and individuals.

My daughter did 2 lessons with Larissa and she really enjoyed it. Larissa is a good teacher, she gives some homework to do and she explains the language easily. I recommend her!

Larissa is amazing. Not only very concientious she has lots of useful tips. She is thorough and adjusts the speed according to progress. A great teacher. Above all, she is fun

I am an Adult learner who did A level Italian some years ago and is trying to resuscitate this. Larissa and I have been having online lessons - because of Covid19 - via whatsapp and the tutorhunt portal. Larissa is well organised and diligent, offering useful suggestions and grammatical pointers whilst encouraging communication, including using films, tv programmes and songs as discussion points. She has a clear comprehensible spoken Italian, and all the correct educational credentials. Strongly recommended. I will be back later in the year.
