Im an Economist who is undertaking PhD research after advising governments in the UK and Somaliland on budgeting, macroeconomic policy, inequality, poverty and social security. My PhD research will analyse political, economic and well-being inequality in the United Kingdom.
Prior to starting my PhD, I was an Economic Advisor to the Somaliland Ministry of Finance, where I drafted the nations first Macroeconomic and Fiscal Framework & Budget Framework Paper, co-authored sections of the National Development Plan II (published July 2017) and led the design and the initial implementation of Somalilands new economic policymaking and budget preparation process.
In the UK, I worked at both HM Treasury and the Department for Work and Pensions, analysing the impact of policies, advising ministers, and undertaking research for long term policy development, with a focus on inequality and labour economics.
Availability: I tend to be flexible as a PhD student but will require confirmation before lessons begin.

Experience: I have previously tutored for undergraduates in economics whilst studying for my master`s degree.
