Fees & Terms
Fees are as stated in the specific area of this profile
Ordinary tuition:- The minimum number of hourly lessons is 4 (equivalent to 4 weeks). Online tuition min 8 lessons.
Planning & Admin
Travel may be charged over 20 miles round trip
Single lessons include a premium above the hours tuition lesson fee (This decision is after some tutees have not considered that they are taking tutee time for long term more dedicated students).
Only taking two lessons attracts a cancellation fee. Late notification of cessation of monthly continuation (which should be in the 3rd week) will attract a weeks fee while another student is engaged ie books the lesson period
Non availability fees are waived if lessons are rescheduled with 24hr notice for the same week. Moving on a week is by discretion. There are no refunds if the tutor has to advise non availability but rescheduling can be arranged.
Full Cancellation of tuition requires a weeks notice. Lesson planning time may be charged. Group tuition cancellation costs are the hours for one week.
All single lessons for Key stage or GCSE for analysis of tests for example are the ordinary rate plus £15.00.
In revision weeks single lessons must be weekends and £80 for 2 hours to avoid inconveniencing students who require 4 tuition sessions.
A Level tuition assessments are on a one-off basis for retake planning are the fee plus £15 for 2 hours.
Cancellation notice for any single lesson with less than 24hrs notice will incur an additional £10 fee for preparation and/or travel, unless there is an unforseen problem
Any communication should be by email with a text or phone message as an addition.
It is the responsibility of the Tutee or Tutee`s representative to determine & advise the tutees examination board details.
Fees are by cash (receipted) paypal invoice or bank transfer, an agreement is available
It is the students responsibility to work hard towards & take the examinations, Tutors do all they can to help boost grades, refunds are not made if the examination results are not improved.
Please note teaching organisations recommend tutors charge 2.5 x the basic teaching salary converted to hours this equals £42.50 per hour, therefore the rate charged (including an hours work before the lesson time, & travel time), represents truly excellent value and is competitive.
I also write resources & make web-blog subject `intranets` for tutees. The resources are provided for the students ongoing reference and study help for their subject and are free to use.
I check all subject specifications & find suitable textbook & online resources. I prepare individualised lesson plans and resources tailored to Students. Preparation and Admin takes another 2-3 hours daily reflected in the rate. Marking is in the form of comments on improvements to work set.
For short bookings, extra preparation time may be charged . Tuition lesson payments are not refundable.

Feedback For Susan F. (14)
Great tutor my daughter really enjoyed her hours lesson, very informative and would highly recommend
Needed a tutor for son due to do a`levels this year, site gave me plenty of choice. Due was good choice, she is punctual and reliable, she is experienced and has very useful knowledge to share on the examiners process . She has also given our son practice questions and been flexible as to what they do each session .
She is really a good teacher. She comes little bit early and spends time with the tutee and explains nice and clearly. Hope my daughter gets good marks and should move to higher grade.
Susan was always punctual and communicated well with us. Shes very friendly and approachable and my son got on well with her and I feel he was receptive to the techniques she gave him for his exams. She taught him what the examiners are looking tor which I dont think hed had at school. We are still waiting for his exam results so fingers crossed!
Susan has always been easy to talk to and understand my sons needs. She has always arrived a couple of minutes early and has been happy to use her own time to share information at the end of session. I am happy to give positive feedback as it is deserved.
Very pleased with Susan
Susan is extremely helpful and has developed a positive relationship with our son. Early days, 3 week in. Her communication is excellent and she links in with school to enable learning. No results from exams yet, and that is the only reason we have not given a 5.
