I am a lecturer at university with PhD in Chemical Engieering from University of Birmingham and several years experience in teaching in higher education, A Level and GCSE. My teaching approach revolves around the student, identifying their weaknesses and adapting to their needs so that they understand the subject thoroughly. My students gain confidence in dealing with their subjects and my aim is to equip them with the skills needed to be able to work effectively and independently.
I make the subject more enjoyable by relating it to real life examples. By explaining concepts in different ways, students gain a new understanding of their work. Understanding the foundation of a subject is extremely important to be able to progress to more advanced levels successfully, and so I will always do extra work if I feel a student has weaknesses in that area.
