I am a former Medicinal Chemist with a wealth of tutoring experience. I have studied Chemistry to PhD level and am also well versed in the other Sciences and Maths. I am enthusiastic in my tutoring style and I believe I can motivate students to engage with the subject. I have a particular talent for getting students to focus on a problem and explore ways to solve it themselves using what they have learned.

I have an adaptable approach to tutorials and I tailor each to individual students. I have previously helped students improve their knowledge in specific areas, develop their exam techniques and acted as an extra pair of eyes to help them complete assignments with confidence.

Availability: I am available anytime at weekends and Friday evening. From January 2020 I will also be available in Edinburgh or Glasgow on Weekday evenings. Home visits are preferred but I can arrange a tutorial at my place if needed.

Experience: I have over 200 hours experience of tutoring Chemistry privately at secondary school and degree level. I have also tutored students at Imperial College and the University of Dundee as part of my duties during whilst studying and working in those institutions. I am highly trained in Chemistry and I have also studied Physics to Scottish Higher level kept up my personal interest in the subject at roughly a first year university level.
