Information about Sarah Jane

Hi there,

I`m Sarah, a teacher and creative educator with 25 years experience. I lead GCSE and A Level Fine Art, Photography and Textiles courses and I teach GCSE and A Level English Literature and Language.

I work with young people from KS2-5 and have a passion for supporting learners with creativity and neurodivergent thinking and learning in particular.

My subjects are: English - Literature and Language, Art and Design, Design Technology, all of which I have extensive experience of delivering at GCSE and A Level at some of the top state schools in the UK.

I`m also adept at offering Learning Support for dyslexia, dyspraxia and ASD and have extensive experience of establishing specialist resource for this in UK schools.

I live in South East London, I can travel to your home to support you, or you can come to me, or I can offer sessions at your local library or online. All of my lessons are innovative, creative and engagingly child-centered. I adapt my work to the needs of each individual and take my time to get to know them well.

When I`m not tutoring, I love cats, bikes, trains cooking and being outside in nature. Speak soon!

Availability: I am available weekdays during normal school hours for children and learners who are learning at home or taking a break from mainstream education. I am available for group sessions with the home education networks, both locally in-person and nationally, online.

I am available evenings until 22.00h GMT.

I work Saturday mornings 07.00h-12.00h GMT both in person and online.

Experience: 25 years experience as a teacher in the UK state and private sectors as well as at top schools in the middle east. Experienced teacher of learning support for young people with dyslexia, ASD and other learning needs - experienced leader of KS3 teaching and learning. 15 years experience as a leader of Art and Design education, contributing to national policy and good practice. Senior moderator for examination boards. Extensive experience of supporting learners and families through the EHCP process with schools. Experienced in supporting young learners with school refusal and MH concerns.
