Information about Jessica
Hello,
My name is Jessica and I am currently a Year 3 teacher. I have a wide range of experience with children from all kinds of background and all primary school ages. I have previously worked in Year 3 and 4 since qualifying as well as working for day to day supply too covering all years from Nursery to Year 6. I now work at a school in Salford. I have previously tutored privately for Year 6 children focusing on SATs and their 11+ exams as well as children in Year 3 too. I have also tutored from Year 1- 11+ too.
I see myself as friendly, enthusiastic and a patient teacher. I am very passionate towards teaching.
Availability: I am available for evening sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday morning sessions too. Over any school holidays I am fully available during daytime and evening sessions. I am currently tutoring throughout the school week during this pandemic.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have done a PGCE in Primary Education with Physical Education after following a three year Sports Therapy degree. The PGCE included placements in year 2,3 and 5, a special needs school and schools with diverse backgrounds. I then went on to do supply work for a few months working in all year groups, before getting a full time permanent position teaching a Year 3 class.

Jessica is a very impressive tutor, noted that less than 4 weeks into sessions with our daughter; the difference in her confidence, maths skills and handwriting is absolutely incredible! Our daughter is quite a playful child but Jessica has such an adaptable approach with her that she remains attentive throughout. Importantly, we see the pride in our daughter when she shows off her achievements after every lesson. It’s like Jessica has always tutored her, brilliant match with our daughter as she loves to learn. Jessica also structures her lessons very well so you are always able to follow progression. A first for us as we never had feedback from the previous tutor; Jessica gives us feedback after each lesson and will advise you outside lessons via text regarding learning resources for the particular curriculum and upcoming stages in the curriculum. I couldn’t praise Jessica enough if I tried.

Jessica is very nice and very polite young tutor. Always coming on time for sessions and my son is happy to learn together. His opinion is more important than mine and his feedback is 5 stars, because she helped him a lot in last 5 weeks to gain better knowledge in Grammar and Maths for 11+ test.
