Information about Rosie
I am a qualified experienced mathematics teacher available for online tutoring.
I conduct my lessons on Zoom Pro. By using a smartphone and a laptop myself and your child will be able to see each others work as we write, as well as our faces.
I currently work at an established secondary school in Sunbury. I teach Years 7-12 with a mixture of foundation and higher ability classes.
I have tutored students from almost all of the state and private secondary schools in the Richmond borough, as well as two students from prestigious boarding schools. Additionally, I have successfully guided two pupils through the GCSE course who were home educated.
I know the syllabuses and testing process for all GCSE exam boards. I have experience with top set/high ability pupils pushing them towards a Grade 9. I can also support pupils who are working towards that all important Grade 4.
I understand that maths can be daunting for some learners and they need to rebuild their confidence before they can tackle more complex problems.
Other students need to be stretched and challenged to ensure that they can answer the more rigorous problem style questions included in the new GCSE.
I assess my students strengths and weaknesses and create a tailored program to suit their needs. I do not simply shadow what they are currently learning in school or do their homework with them. I use a range of resources including worksheets, exam questions and textbooks to assist with my teaching.
I am a bubbly and enthusiastic teacher who loves to incorporate songs and games into my teaching. Equally I ensure my students have plenty of experience answering past papers and refining their exam technique.
I am a strong believer in building good working relationships with my students. My support doesn`t finish at the end of each session. I provide students with work to do outside of our tutorials to embed their understanding. I also show my students where they can find helpful resources and videos so that they can learn independently if they wish. I am available via WhatsApp/ email in the week to mark past papers and answer student queries. A lot of my pupils find it really comforting knowing that they can message me outside of tutorials to ask a question if they are stuck with their homework etc.
I am passionate about helping children progress, which I believe comes across in my teaching. My enthusiastic and warm nature allows my students to view me not only as their subject tutor, but as a role model, friend and ultimately someone who will take a genuine interest in their learning.

Feedback For Rosie (13)
Rosie is brilliant. I have a fussy (quite lazy) teen who is quite picky when it comes to tutors (we have been through quite a few!), and Rosie is just great. She is a first class maths teacher and makes everything easy to understand. Maths is my daughter`s weakest subject and Rosie makes it seem effortless. She motivates her and doesn`t make tutoring seem like a chore. She also is friendly, and fun, and doesn`t talk down to my daughter. Treats her as an equal. I appreciate she is quite pricey, but honestly worth every penny. Since the lockdown, Rosie has done some zoom/facetime tutoring. She has worked out a great system so they can each see what the other is writing and it didn`t disrupt the tutoring at all. If you need to use this time to catch up, as we are, it is a worth it.
My son enjoys his maths lessons with Rosie. She makes them fun and interesting and he thinks shes a better teacher than the one at school!! She also helps him go through his school homework if he needs help with it. Highly recommended tutor.
i couldn`t recommend Rosie enough - she has a passion and enthusiasm for maths and a very positive `can do` approach to teaching - my daughter`s (yr 11) confidence has been boosted hugely and has for the first time `enjoyed` maths as Rosie makes the time fun whilst always professional - Rosie`s sunny disposition and patience brings an energy to any lesson :)
It didn`t take long for our boy to work effectively under Rosie` tuition. Rosie is lovely, efficient and we were fortunate to find her to work with our boy on his prep for his 11+ Math.
Rosie is brilliant! Our son really enjoys his sessions and Rosie pitches the work at just the right level so he is very motivated to keep learning.
Rosie is a fantastic tutor! Lovely bubbly personality. She has helped my son a great deal so far and weve only had 3-4 lessons!
Thank you Rosie.
Rosie was fantastic with my son who needed help gaining confidence for his GCSE year. She was very organised, extremely enthusiastic and clearly has a great passion for the subject which she was able to pass on. He started year 11 in a much better place. I would definity recommend Rosie.
I have made initial contact with Rosie for tutoring to start next academic year.
I have been very impressed by all our communication.
My daughter has met Rosie and is keen to start tutoring with her.
Rosie is very experienced and has an excellent manner with young people.
She made my daughter feel relaxed and was so encouraging and positive.
We are very optimistic about Rosie working with our daughter.
Rosie has been a fantastic help for our daughter with GCSE Maths. Rosie is always positive and quick with communication. Can highly recommend
Extremely happy to have found Rosie!
My son is really enjoying his sessions and feels they are working well for him and are aligned to his current school work.
We contacted Rosie for help as my niece was having difficulty in her GCSE maths classes and was lacking in confidence in her maths skills. Rosie has now been working with my niece for a few months, for an hour a week, and the difference has been amazing. Rosie packs a huge amount into her lessons, and is always helpful, enthusiastic and approachable. My nieces confidence in her maths abilities has grown hugely, and she is also more confident in other lessons too. We would definitely recommend Rosie to others looking for maths tuition.
Rosie is an enthusiastic and hardworking tutor! She worked with my daughter for 10 months over her GCSE year and really turned things around for her. Rosie is always cheerful and uses songs and lots of other methods to engage and motivate her pupils. Despite not liking Maths my daughter always looked forward to their sessions and without them would definitely not have made any progress.
I can`t recommend Rosie highly enough. Excellent tutor!
Brilliant tutor who my daughter finds really helpful and supportive
