Salut! I am a qualified French Teacher working at one of Manchester`s biggest high schools (11-18 years). I love to make language learning fun and appreciate that it can be a daunting experience, so I aim to be as approachable as possible in my teaching.

I have a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (Distinction) & Qualified Teaching Status from Bristol University. For my undergraduate I studied French (BA Honours).

Availability: At first, I recommend a consultation so that I can assess your needs, your goals, your French level and the times you are available. I will then provide a suggested course programme and we can book a regular time slot together.

Term time (2023), after school & evenings:
Monday - Thursday = 5pm-9pm
Saturday = 10am-12pm
Sunday = 10am-12pm

Summer Holidays (2023):
Monday 21st August - Thursday 24th August = Flexible hours during days and evenings (10am-9pm). For these dates I would be very happy to arrange face-to-face sessions.

Experience: In 2016, I graduated from Bristol University with a strong degree in French and returned last year to complete my PGCE, graduating with Distinction. Since then, I have started teaching as an ECT at a secondary school in Manchester. My enthusiasm has continued to grow this year, particularly in my subject area, where it feels increasingly important to educate our young people to appreciate other cultures. I teach French from Year 7 to Year 13. I enjoy the challenge of teaching higher-level grammar to academic candidates but also take great pleasure in engaging younger students in language learning and encouraging their curiosity about other cultures. I have thrived in the responsibility of preparing Year 11 and Year 13 for their examinations this year and have taught extra intervention sessions as part of this. I have therefore gained invaluable experience working with the AQA specification and an understanding of how pupils must prepare to achieve the top grades. I have also loved being involved with the extra-curricular activities at my school and currently run an international film club, language games club and cultural trips.
