I am a friendly, organised and reliable tutor, offering a relatable student-perspective in highly engaging, productive and structured yet flexible sessions.
The sessions are always student-centred with an adjustable pace. Exam checklists combined with repeated practice of exam technique helps the student to pick up extra marks. The hour always flies by as I keep it engaging with multi-sensory approaches (such as talking through answers as well as written activities). I draw on the student`s strengths to develop strategies for areas that they may find more challenging.
A typical session involves:
1. brief recap and consolidation of prior work
2. breaking content down into manageable chunks and plugging any knowledge gaps
2. working through a bank of exam questions until the all-important exam technique becomes automatic
3. recap and a plan for the next session to keep the momentum and the student motivated.
Many thanks and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions,
Martha :)

Martha has provided my child with fantastic tutoring sessions. The lessons are extremely informative and engaging. There has been vast improvement in the grades too. I would most definitely recommend Martha to any student seeking Science tuition.

Martha has helped with my GCSE Physics this holidays following mocks that I was disappointe with. All the lessons were very organised and she took time to find out what topics I wanted to work on and also topics that I was weak in. She was very helpful and patient with explanations. We worked on past questions which was very helpful to see where I was dropping marks.

Martha has been great. Shes patient, clear and explains things at the appropriate level. My son is really enjoying lessons with Martha, and has seen an improvement in his mock grades since Martha has been supporting him.
