I am a Biomedical Science student at the University of Sunderland, currently undertaking an integrated placement at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. Passionate about education, I specialise in teaching Maths, Science, and English—subjects I excelled in during my own studies. Having recently completed my secondary education, I have a strong grasp of the curriculum, with an advanced understanding of Science through my degree.

My teaching approach is highly personalised, adapting to each student’s needs to ensure effective learning. I create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel confident to ask questions and take an active role in their learning journey. I believe in making lessons interactive and tailored to suit different learning styles, and I welcome student input to refine my methods for the best possible outcomes.

Experience: I have extensive experience in tutoring, which began during my school years when I led weekly afterschool sessions to support younger students. These sessions provided help with any topics they struggled with throughout the year, and I placed a strong emphasis on exam preparation. Rather than relying solely on note-taking, I encouraged students to learn through past paper practice—understanding mistakes and refining their approach to exam questions.

Beyond academics, I have also mentored students in music, having achieved Grade 8 in Piano and Grade 7 in Singing. This experience enhanced my ability to communicate effectively with both students and parents, ensuring a structured yet supportive learning environment.

My tutoring has helped students achieve remarkable progress, with some improving from a Grade 5 to a Grade 9 within a year and others raising their A-level Biology grades from a D to an A. I have also supported students in gaining offers from Oxbridge, providing guidance on both subject mastery and interview preparation.
