Information about Tara-theodora
I am a qualified Science teacher in a secondary school teaching students aged 11 to 18. I was graded outstanding when I qualified. I am also a private tutor with 10 years experience in the sciences, maths and university admissions. I achieved 9A*s at GCSE and 3 As at A Level so I know how to achieve success.
My students engage with me, find my explanations easy and enjoy my lessons. My talent is teaching and I am passionate about my students - I ensure that they achieve their potential. I know the KS3, GCSE and A Level Syllabus exceptionally well, and I know the techniques to pass exams.
One of my biggest skills is building confidence in my students, so they feel prepared and positive in the exam room. I teach techniques to help anxiety and encourage positivity.
I have passed the UKCAT with flying colours and have taught the skills required to achieve a high result for 3 years. I can also do preparation for medical interviews and Oxford/Cambridge.
I also excel at aiding students in writing personal statements. I know what should be included including content and stylistic features.
I have proven results with students achieving high grades at GCSE, A Level and Degree Level, including students living abroad.
I love my job; watching my students progress and gain confidence to achieve their potential is the best feeling in the world. Furthermore, it is important that students enjoy learning and are encouraged to be curious.

Experience: I am a Qualified Science Teacher. I graduated through the very selective TeachFirst programme. I teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3, GCSE and A Level students.
I am trained to teach students with varied abilities, different learning styles and learning difficulties. I have learnt to adapt my teaching methods to suit a diverse range of abilities in classes of up to 32 students.
I love to help children find their passions and motivate them to achieve their potential. I do this through fun, engaging yet challenging activities. The brain is a muscle and it needs to be exercised, therefore I like to stretch my students and encourage them to develop their own independence through autonomous learning. I believe structured learning and repetition are key to academic success. Furthermore my students love their sessions!
I have been a private tutor for 10 years teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Extended writing and UKCAT/University prep. I gain a huge amount of satisfaction from this role, particularly through seeing my students progress in results and confidence. I am extremely experienced and will endeavour to do my very best to support and enthuse your child.
